If it can be 3D printed in plastic, it can be 3D printed in titanium and other alloys,
pluripotent cells, bone, cellulose, muscle, skin, blood vessels, nerves.

Human 2.0
The human body is the result of over 4 billion years of trial and error random selection development.
Now, we can start the engineering. This page for Synthetic Replicants was a bit out there 3 years ago but it's getting closer. Only 2 more years to Bladerunner 2019! The huge breakthroughs are C.R.I.S.P.R.-CAS9 and iPS (induced embryonic pluripotent stem cells). Now, an artificial incubation chamber (womb) is working.

Recent Developments:  It has become possible to take a mouse skin or tail adult stem cell, induce it to be a pluripotent embryonic stem cell, then direct them to become a functional embryo or sperm. The techniques appear to be transferrable to humans. In addition, an in-vivo in-vitro bioreactor capsule is being developed to allow the in-vitro fertilized embryo to develop for 100 hours in a human female vagina. This is enough development time to assess the viability of the blastomere.

Replicant Ex-1 Tad Series (short for tadpole)

nexus ex1
The projection is up to EX-99 will be required before a functional Replicant Type 1. It will also require a MK-5 generation 3D printer, still about 5 years away. The MK-5 will be a functional womb and may show the human womb is actually an organic 3D printer. It's so interesting that we all arrive on this planet like we are flying a spaceship, upside down.

Desktop Bioreactor is becoming available, with DNA hacking

"Doctors perform a biopsy of the organ to obtain cells that can be isolated and grown in a lab, grow them, then mix them in an oxygen-rich liquid with other nutrients to keep them alive. That slurry is then printed into the appropriate shape for the patient, along with a biomaterial to provide structure.
"When the 'print' button is pushed, the printer builds the structure layer by layer and embeds cells into each layer. When cells are provided the right mixture of nutrients and growth factors -- and placed in the right environment -- they know what to do and perform their functions. For some structures, two or more types of cells may be required."

Synthetic Sentient Being
The first Synthetic Sentient Being will emerge in a Virtual Reality (VR) headset with the Artificial Intelligence (AI) connected to Expert Systems (ES). AI + ES + VR.

Coming soon! This was a failure but I learned a lot towards the next version.
